January 2011 - Bob Judd elected to the Great Valley Technology Alliance’s Board of Directors
Being selected for this opportunity reinforces our commitment to improving NEPA by facilitating the development of a knowledge-based, technology-focused economy. As a Board Member, Bob's mission is to address and help overcome the structural obstacles needed to make our area thrive.

August 2010 - Arc Electric's warehouse goes solar
It's time to put our money where our mouth is and start saving electricity and the environment. Four of our certified solar team members installed a 10kW photovoltaic (PV) array on our warehouse at WarrenStreetComplex.com. Call and find out how much we're saving...maybe you can too!

June 2010 - Bob Judd on CAN DO Board of Directors
At the 54th annual dinner for CAN DO, owner Bob Judd (back row, center) was once again elected as Board of Directors' Treasurer. Bob has been a member of the CAN DO Board of Directors for nearly 30 years. Starting out as a representative from a local non-profit organization, he's served as committee Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and Vice Chairman—and is now starting his 2nd term as Treasurer. Bob recently completed a two-year term as chairman of the CAN DO/Chamber of Commerce Cranberry Creek Gateway Project. He  also serves on the Development Committee and the Economic Development Committee.  CAN DO officers meet weekly to discuss ongoing activities. For more info go to HazletonCANDO.com.

March 2010 - Certified Solar Contractor
Arc Electric is now a Certified DEP PA Sunshine PV Installer of Solar Energy Systems. This means we're experienced in solar energy and can help facilities evaluate savings, cost and ROI as well as install solar and other energy saving programs.

October 2009 - Small Business of the Year 2009
The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce grants Arc Electric the 2009 Small Business of the Year Award for their longevity, employment and safety record and efforts in the local community. The Award was give on Friday, October 30th at Lobitz in Hazleton. Way to go team!

October 2009 - Honored for Ferrwood Donation
CAN DO recently honored Arc Electric for the electrical work they donated to Ferrwood Music Camp early this summer. Arc upgraded the lighting and power distribution systems including porch lighting, new switches and exit signs. Six dozen compact flourescent light bulbs were swapped in for a bonus in energy savings!

September 30, 2009- Arc sponsors Curb Appeal Awards
Arc Electric and five other businesses sponsored the Greater Hazleton CAN DO 2009 Curb Appeal Awards. Presented to seven local companies, including some Arc customers like Johns Manville and Hershey, these awards recognize companies that help beautify the Hazleton area.

August 2009 - Powering up to offer solar energy
Owner Bob Judd helps bring solar energy power to Northeast PA, starting with a week-long August workshop at Penn State University. As the only owner of an electrical construction company in the class, Bob and 10 other students learned about solar energy theory and techniques while installing a 16-panel solar array providing 3.2 kW of power to PSU Hazleton Campus.
